Facilities Maintenance Technician/ Mechanic Assistant

Seeking a highly motivated, organized, and independent worker for a fast paced landscape office on Hilton Head Island. The ideal candidate will have some landscape materials knowledge, and will have a valid driver's license in good standing. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing outdoor areas of our shop by organizing landscaping materials and keeping area neat and clean which includes mowing and treating weeds in nursery and organizing materials. Also responsible for assisting our mechanic as needed and organizing shop and running errands and for parts as needed in company truck with company expense card. Candidate will also be responsible for cleaning interior of offices once a week which includes vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning kitchenette, and bathroom. Must be able to work independently and be organized and have attention to detail.
The job requires 40 hours per week from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm including 1/2 hour paid lunch (schedule can be slightly flexible). Paid vacation time, no nights or weekends and 6 paid holidays after 90 days (New Year's, Memorial Day, Independence, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas). We offer supplemental benefits at the employee's discounted cost including life insurance, dental/vision, accident benefits, and serious illness benefits. Medical insurance is also available with employer contribution after 60 days. 401 k with company match after one year. The candidate will have high attention to detail, have a professional demeanor and appearance must be reliable, have reliable transportation to work and a good work ethic and must be able to physically meet the demands of the job.
